Special Events
Delaware Greenways holds a number of special events throughout the year to bring attention to important issues, to raise funds for special projects, or just to celebrate successes.
The 2011 Delaware Greenways' Annual Meeting was held on Saturday, November 5. The "Barn and Breakfast" event, sponsored by Potter Anderson & Caroon, featured guest speaker Chris Castagno.
Our annual Greenways Gala fundraiser is a fun evening social event and silent auction that has been going on for more than 5 years to generate critical funding to support the mission of Delaware Greenways. The next Greenways Gala will be held in Spring 2012
The first Byways Stewardship Celebration occurred on April 21, 2011. It was a lovely evening in an old barn nestled in the hills along the Brandywine Creek with nationally-recognized Brandywine Valley artists sharing conversation and their art, which was auctioned that evening. Proceeds from the event went to benefit the management and protection of the Brandywine Valley's scenic and historic landscapes and roadways.
