Greater Pike Creek Valley Walking Map

Delaware Greenways recently partnered with the Pike Creek Civic League and the New Castle County Department of Land Use to create a community walking map for the Pike Creek Valley. The map highlights greenway connections, parks, trails, and pathways in and around the Pike Creek Valley. The project was funded in part by a grant from Livable Delaware.

The map will soon be posted at kiosks around the community. We hope this project will serve as a model for future maps. Future projects will expand the series to cover communities including Hockessin, Claymont, Bear, Newark, Wilmington and Middletown. The walking maps can be specific to a particular area, highlighting walking loops, bicycle routes and points of interest and nearby destinations (eg, schools, shops, restaurants, etc.).
