Just outside of Old New Castle, the Historic Penn Farm is being reinvigorated by Delaware Greenways, with the support and involvement of many community partners. Envisioned for this farm, which has supported agriculture for the past 300 years, is a community destination that embodies Delaware Greenways' mission.

The Historic Penn Farm, a 310 year old, 112-acre private urban land trust of the Trustees of the New Castle Common, managed by Delaware Greenways, Inc.

The Historic Penn Farm is only open to the public for special events or days where staff is present. Please visit the Historic Penn Farm's website for notices on special events, staffing calendars, and further information.

From the North: Take I-95 South; exit 5A (SR 141S toward US13/New Castle); slight right onto Frenchtown Road/SR 273
From the South: Take I-95 North; exit 5A (SR 141S toward New Castle); keep left to SR 141 S ramp toward Basin Rd; slight right onto Frenchtown Road/SR 273.

Parking is available at the Tract 6 Stand, located at 807 Frenchtown Road, New Castle, DE 19720. Walk through the gate up Windmill Lane toward the barns and John Crow house to begin your visit (weather appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes/boots for gravel roads/grassy paths is highly recommended).
